Who We Are
We are the Amateur Radio Emergency Service ("ARES") team in Pasco County, Florida. "ARES" is part of the "Amateur Radio Relay League" ("ARRL"). Organizationally, we are part of the "West Central Florida" Section of the ARRL. Pasco County is on the Central Gulf Coast of Florida, North of Tampa Bay.

 2019 Disaster Expo Saturday, June 1, 2019


HUDSON ---- The Pasco County Division of Emergency Management is hosting the 2019 Disaster Expo Saturday, June 1, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Disaster Expo will provide property and life-saving information in a fun, upbeat environment designed for the whole family.
“Don’t wait until a disaster happens – prepare now,” said Assistant County Administrator for Public Safety Kevin Guthrie. “From having an evacuation plan – to making sure you have the insurance coverage you need, the Disaster Expo is the perfect opportunity to make sure your family is prepared for any type of disaster.”

Representatives from various Pasco County departments and agencies, as well as local businesses will be available at the 2019 Disaster Expo to help you:

* Plan for evacuations

* Protect homes and businesses

* Prepare go-kits for people and pets

* Register for special needs assistance

* Learn how to get involved

* Much more!

Kids can take part in activities like creating go-kits with things you already have around the house – while parents talk with disaster preparedness experts. You can also pick up a copy of the 2019 Disaster Planning Guide, which includes updated evacuation zones.
